"Not so long ago, people who didn't believe in barefoot running got eaten."
Running is mostly fun for me. It helps me to relax and to stop
thinking. I especially enjoy running barefoot on warm grass under a scorching
sun, exploring new places, and listening sounds of nature (I never wear
headphones!). Running got me into memorable situations, celebrated with me my
birthdays and introduced me a lot of interesting people. Moreover, it allowed
me to commute for free (14 km daily in Lancaster) and improved my fitness
level a lot. So much that I even unexpectedly won some races (although only
very local ones).
Racing
I am not a big fan of racing. I hate the necessary commuting and stress before
a race. But the feeling afterwards more than compensates these issues. I
haven't run many races, but despite that I have still managed to achieve some
successes. Some of my biggest achievements are:
42km (trail) - 3:14:51 (SAAR challenge half 2018)
-
1st in the category, 1st overall
21km (flat) - 1:24:23 (Pardubice half-marathon 2018)
- 57th in the category, 83rd overall
21km (trail) - 1:27:07 (SAAR challenge short 2017)
- 1st in the category, 2nd overall
15km (cross) - 1:02:00 (Pernstejn 15 2017)
- 1st in the category, 3rd overall
10km (trail) - 39:02 (Monako small prize 2018)
- 2nd in the category, 7th overall
